Hot off the press…
November 25, 2017 at 8:23 pm #4596The thing with Facebook that I am “so over”, is dealing with the squabbles that break out, divisive people, and most especially, the “know it all doctrine police” types. Some FB groups are especially bad like that. It’s like those groups are a congregating point for pompous people that appear to be a cross between frustrated out of work concentration camp guards, and “would be” seminary CEO’s of some hard line religious institution. I am sure they must have a chalk board beside their computers where they tally up the blows they inflict on unsuspecting people who stumble into those groups. Judging by their frosty Pharisaical manors I am left suspecting that instead of actually reading the Bible, they read Mein Kampf at nights.
A Minute to Midnite Administration
A Minute To Midnite Show HostNovember 26, 2017 at 9:02 am #4611Tony, your comment describes an interaction I had myself today online. (It wasn’t on AMtM.) The thing was, as mad as I was at the responses (I could just see their self-satisfied smirks from the other side of the screen), I noticed something else: That has been ME at times in the past. I repented of that and am hoping that in a future situation that I will look back on this experience and be more loving and less judgmental.
Right now I’m feeling like leaving Facebook because of this interaction, but looking at the bigger picture, I think that would be something akin to giving up my cell phone. Could I live without it? Yes. Would I hate every minute of the inconvenience of not having it now that I have had it? Also yes. Facebook connects people — for better or worse. When I get sick of it or feel the prompting from the Lord, I take breaks, but even those are hard (that addictive thing is no joke).
I will be interested to hear from Kara how her detox is going in a week or two. 🙂

Well just today- Facebook has banned me from posting in any groups for two weeks again. This is now the third time in only a few weeks! I can only assume that it is because of either the show I just put out with Mike From Onpoint Preparedness, or the one I put out with Tim Alberino ( or a combination). This is happening while most people including christians are oblivious to the fact that our freedoms are being eroded away rapidly. The system of the Beast is being put into place, and BIG steps have happened in a short while towards that end. I only just got off a two week ban imposed by Youtube, and now FB has slapped their jail back on me.
A Minute to Midnite Administration
A Minute To Midnite Show HostNovember 26, 2017 at 7:08 pm #4633It was a really great read. And you guys make great posts and yes iam also over getting into squabbles with people. It’s annoying and time consuming and worse yet energy consuming. But someone pointed out something Facebook is what you make of it. If you spend time with those people then yes it will be a lower end thing. But recently i’ve found that i have some really great people on there too, the more i hang around AMTM the better it feels. Ofcourse there are still people in there that are seeking trouble as well. It’s like 6 of some half dozen of the other.
November 27, 2017 at 1:11 pm #4645Yeesh. Again, Tony? Sorry to hear that Bro. I watched Alberino interview you did. (Didn’t he have his YT Channel taken away from him a while back?) Enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to watching the newest one. 🙂 Keep up the good work, AMTM crew.
November 29, 2017 at 2:14 am #4674Like Kara, I closed my FB account too. I was tired of finding out that leaders, and non-leaders, in the Christian and conservative community, were having their posts censored and their accounts locked down for periods of time. I also got frustrated and disturbed by the number of “Christians” attacking others over differing views. I must confess, everytime I sit at my desktop to check email and read the news, I miss FB for some of the reasons that I benefited from it. Like my membership in forums that helped me with my hobbies and other aspects of living on my homestead. (Beekeeping forums, Homesteads and sustainability forum, AT&T Alumni, AMTM, my local community forum, etc).
On the downside, it sucked away a lot of time.December 5, 2017 at 5:11 am #4793I agree FB is getting out of control, not only the FB police but the users! I do read some of the headlines that pop up on the right side of the screen but have refused to read the comments anymore because they are so hateful that it just kept making me upset and wanting to react to them. It isn’t a response but a reaction…the difference I know from my years of horse riding…I don’t want my horse to react to something I want him to respond correctly to the cue I am giving him. So through much prayer and consideration into this addiction I have cleaned out all the unwanted hateful “friends,” kept the real Christ Followers and focus on the positive rather than the negative posts. I find my comments are kinder and discussions take place like they used to in the early days of FB. I also pick and choose my groups with more discernment now. I join groups of like minded individuals and if I see the hatred coming out I just remove myself from them. Oh and they must be a closed group.
I would also like to extend an invitation to anyone on here who would like to look me up on FB just send me a friend request but let me know you are from this forum so I won’t just delete the request!! I get some weird people wanting to friend me and not quite sure where these “people” come from!! LOL!
December 27, 2017 at 4:28 am #5312Revelation 18 says Babylon “trades in the souls of men”. This is what FB does. Here is an interesting confession from the very engineers of social media technology of that end:
