The Kundalini Spirit

“The Kundalini Spirit”

Matt S September 5th 2017 Part 9 (False teachings/heresy series)

This week we are dealing with a somewhat different spirit to last week, however it is very likely that the source of these spirits is the same. However this in no way implies that the Holy Spirit referred to, is the same as the spirit that sits behind the “tokers” referred to in last weeks article. I really hope that this previous statement makes sense! Let me know if it does not.

So what is the Kundalini spirit and why would I be bringing this to your attention?

The word “Kundalini” is a Hindu yoga term. It refers to (in short) “the latent female energy believed to lie coiled (yes coiled) at the base of the spine”. (Did you know that snakes coil?) Just threw that in to see if you were awake!!

So, what is the “Kundalini Spirit”? The Kundalini spirit or force is described as sleeping or slumbering at the base of the spine, this latent female energy is coiled and can be awakened through yoga to release enlightenment and bliss……………….. Really?

So that was the Hindu yoga take on this spirit or force.

You may have heard mention of this “spirit” in somewhat negative terms in Christian circles, and in other Christian yoga (yes really!!) circles in more positive terms. All you need to do is Google “The Kundalini Spirit”. This will lead you into all sorts of interesting areas.

Mike Shreve a former yoga teacher has this to say about yoga.

So Matt, how does this relate to false signs, wonders and deception?

With the advent of the signs and wonders movement of the 1970’s and 80’s or also referred to as the “Third Wave Movement”. A number of astute Christian folk noticed that there were some odd occurrences that seemed to be manifesting in years to come. People were laughing uncontrollably, barking, writhing, jerking, screaming, running into walls etc etc etc. Many of the folk leading these revival meetings indicated that these signs were indeed “manifestations” of the Holy Spirit.

I would like to draw your attention to something. This is not solely my observation but because I was around for a little of this time in Question, I did get to observe a little of this “something” that I’m now going to mention.

In the 1960’s there were all kinds of revolutions going on. The 60’s was noted for its sexual revolution amongst other things. However somewhat more quietly there was another revolution going on, this was an active spiritual revolution. This spiritual revolution was taking the form of people questioning Christianity and the Church, as well as exploring other forms spirituality and religions. During this time period Eastern Spiritual such as Hinduism, Yoga, and Transcendental Meditation became very popular, as did their Gurus and advocates. Groups such as The Beatles and The Beach Boys actively promoted Eastern spiritual practices in their music and their lifestyles. People willingly took up these practices of Hindu meditation, Yoga and the Yogis themselves.

I am of the belief that demonic entities associated with Hindu and Yoga practices were now freely able to work in the lives of people, as they had been given legal right to do so. People embraced idols and false gods just as the Israelites had done in Egypt and the Canaanite territories (The Promised Land). This is another study altogether, but the Israelites failure to follow God’s command to wipe out certain of the Canaanite races, resulted in sinful and destructive practices being allowed to remain. The Israelites paid a price for this idolatry.

From my other articles on the subject of false signs and wonders, you will know that satan can reproduce miraculous signs and wonders, as he did with Pharaoh’s magicians in Exodus 7:22. But satan needs a doorway or legal right to get in. It is my opinion that we opened that doorway wide open in the 60’s, when we overwhelmingly embraced Eastern religions, (and not just Hindu practices). Exodus 20:3-5, God’s first commandment says that we shall have no other gods before God, God comes first. Yoga is a Hindu religion, it has millions of gods and they are not the God of the Bible and the Creator of the Universe. I believe that when we embrace such practices as yoga for “health benefits”, we open a doorway to the demonic entities that sit behind yoga. We also break God’s first commandment to us by doing this.

As mentioned, we now have Christians who practice yoga. As a Christian, why does one have to practice yoga? Is it not possible to do similar non yoga exercises to get the same benefit? But I digress. “Yoga is a NON Christian Religion that worships millions of OTHER gods”.

Manifestations of the Kundalini spirit.

Given that we are living in a time when satanic demonic deception is increasing. Given that satan has a short time left. Given that satan has had thousands of years to plan his deceptions and infiltrate the Church. Both the Bible and sound thinking would tell us that satan will use every means at his disposal, to pull people away from God. We know from 1Timothy 4:1 that in the later times that some will fall away following doctrines of demons. We also know from 2 Thessalonians 2 and Matthew 24 that satan will have his followers and workers showing false signs and wonders.

Satan imitates, he does not have a creative bone in his body. He can only copy or use the resources that God has placed in this universe. So, it should be no surprise that he would use a counterfeit manifestation to imitate the Holy Spirit.

Andrew Strom (a fellow Kiwi) has produced a short (30 min) You Tube video on his concerns about the spirit invading the Church called “Shocking Documentary”; it shows the manifestations of the Kundalini spirit both in Hindu practice and within Christian Church meetings. Andrew expresses his concern about how this spirit manifests. It is well worth the watch (this video is also broken into 1, 2, 3 smaller parts).

Andrew describes the Kundalini spirit as being the Hindu equivalent of the Holy Spirit. The Kundalini spirit needs to be awakened through Hindu religious practices. Here is a list of manifestations of the Kundalini spirit taken from a “Universal Religious webpage

Muscle twitches, cramps or spasms.

Energy rushes or immense electricity circulating the body.

Itching, vibrating, prickling, tingling, stinging or crawling sensations.

Intense heat or cold.

Involuntary bodily movements (occur more often during meditation, rest or sleep): jerking, tremors, shaking; feeling an inner force pushing one into postures or moving one’s body in unusual ways. (May be misdiagnosed as epilepsy, restless legs syndrome (RLS), or PLMD.)

Alterations in eating and sleeping patterns.

Episodes of extreme hyperactivity or conversely, overwhelming fatigue (some CFS victims are experiencing Kundalini awakening).

Intensified or diminished sexual desires.

Headaches, pressures within the skull.

Racing heartbeat, pains in the chest.

Digestive system problems.

Numbness or pain in the limbs (particularly the left foot and leg).

Pains and blockages anywhere; often in the back and neck (Many cases of FMS are Kundalini-related.)

Emotional outbursts; rapid mood shifts; seemingly unprovoked or excessive episodes of grief, fear, rage, depression.

Spontaneous vocalizations (including laughing and weeping) — are as unintentional and uncontrollable as hiccoughs.

Hearing an inner sound or sounds, classically described as a flute, drum, waterfall, birds singing, bees buzzing but which may also sound like roaring, whooshing, or thunderous noises or like ringing in the ears.

Mental confusion; difficulty concentrating.

Altered states of consciousness: heightened awareness; spontaneous trance states; mystical experiences (if the individual’s prior belief system is too threatened by these, they can lead to bouts of psychosis or self-grandiosity).

Heat, strange activity, and/or blissful sensations in the head, particularly in the crown area.

Ecstasy, bliss and intervals of tremendous joy, love, peace and compassion.

Psychic experiences: extrasensory perception; out-of-body experiences; past life memories; astral travel; direct awareness of auras and chakras; contact with spirit guides through inner voices, dreams or visions; healing powers.

Increased creativity: new interests in self-expression and spiritual communication through music, art, poetry, etc.

Intensified understanding and sensitivity: insight into one’s own essence; deeper understanding of spiritual truths; exquisite awareness of one’s environment (including ‘vibes’ from others).

Enlightenment experiences: direct Knowing of a more expansive reality; transcendent awareness.

The manifestations on this list should be of concern to any Christian, so I will leave you to make the comparisons with what you saw in Andrew’s videos…………………..

How is it that we should know what to be looking for?

It is knowing about the Holy Spirit and that is a whole very detailed study in and of itself, and not within the scope of this article; however I have included a link to a Holy Spirit PDF that gives great scriptural insight into the Person and Behaviour of the Holy Spirit. It is long, but very easy to read and very detailed. I would say I can find nothing in scripture that describes the bizarre manifestations that Andrew Strom outlines in his videos, which could be attributed to manifestations of the Holy Spirit. There are many others warning about the Kundalini spirit, so if you choose to look at this further, you can go here.

I have witnessed such manifestations described by Andrew in recent Church meetings, which have left me with some concern. These were described on one occasion as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit, and it was that same jerking movement that Andrew draws attention to in his video.

So let me ask you, if you have experienced the Holy Spirit, how does He show Himself to you? Here is a brief article that discusses the attributes of the Holy Spirit. Once again there is a need to be discerning and know that aspect of God that is the Holy Spirit.

It is my opinion that with embracing gods other than the one God, the Creator of the Universe, his Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit (the trinity), we have placed other gods before God. We have allowed satan to get a foothold in our lives and in our Churches. In my opinion the manifestation of the Kundalini spirit is a consequence of allowing false gods to come before God, by embracing Hindu practices of Yoga or the awakening of the Hindu false Holy Spirit manifestation. There are Christians who are embracing the signs and wonders associated with Kundalini spirit, they are describing it as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit and it is NOT. It is satanic and demonic and it will be known by its fruit.

I hope that your walk this week with God is a peaceful one and as always, be alert and be sober. God bless you.
