E128 Jacob's Limp is YOUR Limp…The Memorial of your Fight!

I think the greatest misconception in the lives of many Believers is that we will finish our course of life fully healed emotionally, or physically. This is where many find themselves cast down and cannot lift themselves up. They think that the deep pain that they have been inflicted with should by now be healed. But this is not the case. The greater majority of us will come to the end of our lives one day, and it is a guarantee that we will be full of scars from the great battles of this world. Just as Jesus left this world with scars for all eternity for all mankind will see. These wounds on His hands and feet are forever the standing memorial of His mighty, victorious fight for the sins of the whole world, for all mankind.
Jacob limped for the rest of his life, and it is pretty much of a guarantee that he did not miss one day of his life remembering WHOM he was wrestling with when he found himself on the run for his life. There was a warrant of death upon his from his brother Esau. He was away in the dark lonely desert when he saw in a dream, the incarnate Christ at the top of a ladder reaching to heaven, at the onset of his long life journey. Only to later wrestle with Him, and receive and a new name of what he would become.
“For as a prince hast thou power with God, and with men hast prevailed.” When you start your wrestling match, you will not come out of it the same, you will be a different man or woman just like Jacob. You will limp with the memory of your wars and battles for the rest of you life into heaven, where you “will receive a white stone with your new name written on it.” I have no idea what our new names will be, but I have a big feeling it will be what described your fight and victory. I just know it!
