In the evangelistic arenas after the Gospel has been preached, there is an offer of salvation. The common question to the penitent listener is, “Do you accept that Jesus Christ is Lord?” How many times is that term used to reel in the masses? But do we ever hear, “Do you BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is Lord? Do you BELIEVE Him for your very eternal life?” Many emotionally nod, there may even be some tears,but there is no belief. There really is a BIG difference.
Believing is totally different when it comes down to a solid, powerful walk as a Christian. A person can accept that the doctrines of Buddhism is truth to the person who holds it as a truth. However, that same person does not believe it to be the truth. The reason the pulpits are emptying out is because no one really believes Jesus. They may say they do, but their lives show nothing that reveals that they believe the One they say the love. They accept Him as Lord and Savior, and receive the truth in a mental ascent, yet they do not really believe Him because they do not really know Him. Listen as I share what the real difference is between accepting or BELIEVING, and the key to real power in your walk to heaven!
