Six-foot pipe bomb is found at Sri Lanka’s main airport hours after series of blasts killed at least 207 including five Britons in Easter Sunday terror attacks targeting Christians at churches and luxury hotels

A bomb was found and safely destroyed at Sri Lanka’s main airport this evening just hours after co-ordinated attacks killed 207 people in explosions at churches and five-star hotels on Easter Sunday.

Eight blasts ripped through landmarks around the capital Colombo, and on Sri Lanka’s east coast, targeting Christians, hotel guests and foreign tourists.

More than 450 people were wounded and five British citizens were among the dead.

A a six-foot pipe bomb was later found by air force personal on a routine patrol at the country’s main airport Bandaranaike International, also known as Katunayake Airport or Colombo International.

‘A PVC pipe which was six feet in length containing explosives in it was discovered,’ Air Force Spokesman Gihan Seneviratne told the Sri Lankan Sunday Times.

He said the bomb device was discovered by Air Force personnel on a routine patrol and was disposed by the Explosives Ordinance Disposal Unit of the Air Force in a controlled area.

The airport was put ‘on lockdown’ while the security forces examined and detonated the device, according to reports from the scene.

It comes after this morning, six bombs went off in quick succession before another two blasts two hours later in Sri Lanka’s worst violence since the end of its decades-long civil war in 2009

Seven suspects have been arrested, as it emerged the country’s police chief had warned of an Islamic extremist plot to target ‘prominent churches’ just 10 days earlier, but no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Denmark´s richest man lost 3 children in Sri Lanka attacks

Three children of retail billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen were killed in the attacks in Sri Lanka on Sunday, according to a spokesperson for his company.
The Danish entrepreneur owns clothing company Bestseller, which is the biggest shareholder in British fashion retailer ASOS with a stake of over 26%.

Ah yes, ASOS….
ASOS is stocking ‘modest’ islamic clothing, including hijabs, for the first time, aimed at both people who want to dress conservatively and those who cover up for religious reasons, and it’s won praise from shoppers.

Wow, so inclusive, so diverse, so liberating…
Hard to argue with that because, you know, life in a multicultural society is quite vibrant, thrilling and colorful (with red being the color of the season ).

And this good man Povlsen is using his wealth for other officially good purposes:

The billionaire’s interests go beyond fashion and retail. He and Anne are among the biggest private landowners in Scotland.
In 2007, the couple founded Wildland, a conservation and sustainable development company through which they’ve invested in a number of properties.
The couple say on their website that they want to restore the Scottish Highlands “to their former magnificent natural state and repair the harm that man has inflicted on them.”

Well, that´s all fine and dandy, but what about the former magnificent demographic state of Denmark and Europe (which is now rotting away as Shakespeare would say), how about repairing the harm that business-men like Povlsen have inflicted or at least enabled for filthy lucre’s sake? I mean, what matters are the peoples, in this case the actual Scottish people, not the landscape of Scotland. What good are the beautiful highlands if you don´t hear the echo of backpipes and church bells but the echo of the call of the muezzin?

See, men like Povlsen are part of the problem nowadays. They made a deal with the Zeitgeist and in change for material prosperity this means sacrificing their own folk directly or indirectly. I pray his eyes will be opened so he won´t loose his one remaining child, stops selling out and ruining our homelands, and will himself hopefully get saved and use his immense riches to comfort the poor Christian widows and orphans in Sri Lanka.
