I read #17 and I agree. Our family gave us such grief over it all too when we came out that we no longer were going to celebrate Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, Easter, New Years, Valentines Day, etc…. But, we were kind and gentle in our explaining and when they saw that we weren’t budging from our convictions they went their own way – only to blatantly ignore our requests and have our children do things that we had just explained to them we shouldn’t do. My 7 yr. old daughter was confused and even cried because she didn’t know what to do. It was horrible. One family member even said that it disgusted them that I was taking away the kid’s joy. It hurt, but I knew that it was demons talking through this person – trying to get me to doubt my convictions. Say you don’t go to a casino because of religious reasons and nobody bats an eye, tell someone you’re not getting a Christmas tree that year for religious reasons and you might as well have just cussed out their momma and spit in her face! This past year of “trying” to celebrate the appointed feasts and trying to transition out of the pagan holidays was very eye opening. It really drove the point home of the Remnant truly being that – a remnant, hated and despised by the world.
