A Minute To Midnite Show HostJuly 26, 2018 at 12:13 am #7997That was a good chat between the two of you & enjoyable to listen to whilst cutting out some stuff for my [schoolteacher] daughter. I had to smile when you mentioned smoke machines! I remember when the pentecostal church I had started attending was so excited, at least the pastor was, when they were able to purchase a secondhand smoke machine. Nearly drove me crazy! I think that was just before he went to Toronto. He was like a big kid over it!! Boys & their toys!!
When you said that Planet Shakers came from Melbourne, I thought, yes! That explains everything!! Melbourne is a cesspool of evil to be honest. The church down there has been Laodicean since the 60s I think! I know in the church I originally grew up in, that they were very liberal & didn’t believe the Word of God was infallible & that was back when I was young in the 60s.
I sent you the latest that I received from ACL tonight & the fact that the police were charging them for the protesters bad behaviour. Melbourne is a horrible place to live. They are like having the US in Australia. They are very Marxist, & in the forefront of everything that is evil in this nation, followed closely by South Australia who also are very liberal in their thinking. Something to bring a smile is that SA was the first place in the world to give women the vote back in 1900 which I heartily approve of, of course! Still it gives you an insight into the future & I think Melbourne is like a child who just wants to be the centre of attention by being the most outrageous it can be! So they probably have a bad complex being second best in our history, they could never quite outdo Sydney. I have just been watching a three part series on Federation in our nation. Man did we have a lot of bombastic men who just loved to hear their own voices. As far as “pollies” go,and I don’t think it has changed much over the years…July 30, 2018 at 12:23 pm #8044Sorry if this double posts, but the first time it seemed to disappear…
I enjoyed the discussion to!

Why, on the video at around 23 seconds, after “And what about love?” do they show an image of Mother Teresa?
As you say, if the message is just social gospel and you don’t bring a person to Jesus, what’s the point??? That is not true love, which is from God and so points people to Him!
From http://www.motherteresa.org/08_info/2015-Coversion.html
…Here is a short testimony of someone who was closely associated with Mother Teresa for 23 years: “I am a Hindu and I never saw the slightest evidence in all my 23 years of knowing Mother Teresa in the Missionaries of Charity, of converting. …
When I asked her whether she converted, she answered, ‘Yes, I convert. I convert you to be a better Hindu, or a better Muslim, or a better Protestant, or a better Catholic, or a better Parsee, or a better Sikh, or a better Buddhist. And after you have found God, it is for you to do what God wants you to do.’ ” She wanted people to come closer to God (however they understood Him) and believed that in this way they would also come closer to each other, love one another, and ultimately create a world that is better for everyone to live in.
The Constitutions of the Missionaries of Charity state: “We shall not impose our Catholic Faith on anyone, but have profound respect for all religions, for it is never lawful for anyone to force others to embrace the Catholic Faith against their conscience.” This reflects the intention of Mother Teresa herself, and the Missionaries of Charity follow in her footsteps.
