A Minute To Midnite Show HostJanuary 6, 2018 at 10:34 pm #5493It is just occurring to me that it is probably our ‘old man’ who stops us from communicating with the Lord as Joey says Jesus wants us to. I know in myself, I struggle in this area. I feel like my inner man is saying “don’t bother the Lord with that, its insignificant & anyway He already knows” Or a sense that I am making a mountain out of a molehill. Hard to put into words but I am just sitting here thinking about it & why I struggle to ask the Lord for myself, whereas I am open & ready to pray for others – but to pray for myself & my needs or desires, I feel guilty & as though it is sinful – if you know what I mean. Hard to express in words. So I am going to attempt it tonight as I wrote down the words so that I don’t forget what he said. If I have to get out of bed to read them again, I will! So really he was saying exactly what the Lord told Joanie on Christmas day. The other thing that was nearly my undoing was his story about Jesus showing him the angels ministering to people in their hour of need. To think that at the time I felt that I was all alone & that nobody cared, now to find that an angel was there with me through it all ministering to me is bringing me undone! I wasn’t alone at all!!! It is going to help me in the future when I go through future trials knowing this. So thank you Joey & especially thank you Lord for showing Joey this so that we could know because things are going to get worse & so this word will comfort us!!

I agree I have been guilty of not asking God into everything I do but only asking Him before and thanking Him later but not really contacting Him during! I am going to work on this and remember to ask Him into every aspect of my life more and more. I know from past experience these things take time to become habit so the more I practice it the better it will become. I felt a calmness in my spirit as I listened to his story last night and I felt an assurance these words are true and Jesus wants to be more involved in my life. So I will work on this! Thanks Tony for sharing this with us!
