Treasures in Heaven…Who Gets Them?

One of the most awesome aspects of our Christian life is the knowledge that when we get to heaven rewards and crowns will be given. There are many who wonder exactly just what this means and who gets them? Common questions arise such as to how to obtain them. There is also another scenario, meaning, there are those who feel completely unworthy to receive any rewards, let alone crowns. They feel that they are all presented to those that do obvious big things, like being a pastor, teacher, worship team member or missionary. But that could not be further from the truth. There is also another group that take for granted that they will be given rewards and/or crowns just because they said the “Sinners Prayer” yet lead lives that reveal nothing of them being Christian at all, and bare zero fruit. There is definitely going to be loss of “the rewards of inheritance” at the Judgment Seat of Jesus Christ!

Glad to see you back Joanie!!! 🙂 I tell Jesus that as long as I can just sit at His feet and be in His presence for all eternity, that would be a reward enough for me! Just being able to see Him and be with Him, to be able to praise Him and listen to His voice – that is what I am looking forward to the most. Thank you Desiree, I am in full agreement with you! I have no other desire than the most ultimate reward than to lay my eyes on Jesus Christ for all eternity!
