Here is a video from Prophecy Watchers discussing “the coming apostasy“, Gary Stearman talks with Jeff Kinley about this End Times event and how it is very likely that it is here with us now. Jeff is clear that we as Christians are failing to adhere to God’s Word and failing to read our bibles regularly and this is leaving us vulnerable and open to deception. The Bible is clear that God does not change, Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8, however you can bet that the psychotic fallen angel satan has not deviated from his plan to deceive us either.
(I was considering whether to put this under false teachings as it also fits there, but firstly I think it is a sign of the last days).

I can’t edit my post after it has been posted, so I want to clarify that we agree about the apostasy and the false teaching leading people to stray.
November 20, 2017 at 7:29 am #4335Agree with the apostasy part–and it’s not the rapture as so many pre-tribbers believe. But the Lord returns AFTER the Tribulation.
We don’t have to be reading our Bibles everyday or we will be deceived, If that is what these gentlemen are saying. Walter Martin would call this idea “bibliolatry”.
The doctrine of “Imminence” should be debunked here. Robert Gundry, Walter Martin, Marv Rosenthal, et al would dispute this doctrine that is so prevalent in the Pre-trib, Dispensational, Cessationist (no gifts) so prevalent in churches today.
Both these guys are very likely Moody or Dallas Theological Seminary trained, whose underlying doctrines (some of them anyway) I would disagree with, as the pre-trib view in itself gives a false sense of security.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from now on: Yes, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them. REV 14
Shalom,
