Tony posted the latest update from Amir Tsarfati in my RED Alert posting and I was really interested to hear Amir comment that the Koran has no mention of Jerusalem at all. This was fascinating given the fuss (mild understatement) being made by Muslims over Jerusalem. I did a little research and found that it is very likely that this is correct. I would be interested if anyone has some evidence that says this is incorrect. I did find an article of interest that speaks to this and inspired the title of this topic.

          Hi Dianna

I did wonder about David and you are right, he would know about this. Thanks for bringing this up.

In Times Square and Worldwide, Chilling Calls to Massacre Jews After Trump Announcement

Rallies in Europe and the US protesting President Donald Trump’s acknowledgement of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital are being accompanied by explicit, blood-curdling calls for violence against Jews. Some of these calls to violence are already being answered.

A rally of Muslims in New York City’s Times Square on Saturday began with the regular angry anti-Israel chants but soon took on a different tone as the crowd began calling for a Muslim holy war against the Jews.

The chanting began with, “We don’t want no two-state, we want ‘48”. This is an explicit refusal of the two-state solution, which would create a Palestinian state on the land conquered by Israel in the defensive Six-Day War in 1967. The number ‘48’ is a reference to the 1948 United Nations Partition Plan which led to the modern State of Israel.

The crowd then began chanting the more inciteful slogan, “With spirit and blood we’ll redeem al-Aqsa, there is only one solution; intifada revolution.” Al-Aqsa is the silver-domed mosque on the Temple Mount, but the Palestinians now use the term to refer to the golden Dome of the Rock, which stands on the site of the Jewish Temple. “Intifada” means a violent confrontation.

The rally turned decidedly ugly when the crowd began calling not only for an end to Israel, but for a massacre of the Jewish people. Demonstrators started chanting, “Jews remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammed is returning.” Khaybar was the name of a Jewish-majority oasis city about 90 miles north of Medina in Saudi Arabia which existed in the time of Muhammed.

Muslims slaughtered the city’s Jews in 628 CE. The Arabic chant “Khaybar Khaybar, ya yahud, Jaish Muhammad, sa yahud,” which means, “Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning,” is used as a battle cry when attacking Jews or Israelis.

Abbas says America’s role in middle east peace process is over

Abbas called Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital a “crime” that threatened world peace.

By: AP and World Israel News Staff

Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas said Wednesday that the PA will not accept any role for the US in the Mideast peace process “from now on,” following President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Abbas spoke at a gathering of heads of state and top officials from Islamic nations at an emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Turkey, in an attempt to forge a unified Muslim world stance against Trump’s move.

Saudi Academic: Arabs Should Accept Israel’s Historic Right to Jerusalem

“Jerusalem is a religious symbol for the Jews, [which] is just as holy for them as Mecca and Medina are for Muslims,” declared a Saudi academic.

A Saudi academic defended the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and called on Arabs to “accept” Israel’s historic roots in the holy city, a move he says can ultimately bring peace to the region.

Abdulhameed Hakeem, the head of the Middle East Center for Strategic and Legal Studies in Jeddah, said that President Donald Trump’s declaration on Jerusalem “will prompt a positive shock towards moving the stagnant water surrounding [the diplomatic] negotiations.”

“[A]s Arabs, [we] have to come an understanding with the other side and know what its demands are so that we can succeed in peace negotiation efforts,” Hakeem said in remarks to the US-based al-Hurra Arabic-language TV channel on Saturday.

“We have to admit and realize that Jerusalem is a religious symbol for the Jews, that is just as holy for them as Mecca and Medina are for Muslims,” Hakeem said.

                  Interesting post Tony

I see that it is a Saudi Muslim Cleric that has mentioned this. Interesting given that Israel has developed close ties with the Sunni Saudi Arabia. I imagine that this will upset all the Shia Muslim groups and countries so vehemently opposed to the acknowledgement of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by President Donald Trump.
