Hello everyone, I’m new on this site.

I’ve been a truther for a number of years now. I guess even years before that I never accepted the official story of JFK.
Coming after that, I watched the twin towers fall live on tv and really thought it was marking the beginning of something just like the assassination of Kennedy did.

Being woken up led me down many rabbit holes and this year I became a born again Christian.

Developing a stronger relationship with God though Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit has literally kept me alive and sane.

Just wanted to know whether others have suffered with depression on discovery of the truth about the world we live in.
I used to be a Catholic but then lapsed for a long time. I guess the realness of God and the realness of Satan was not at the forefront of my mind as it should have been.

It has been a real shock to realise that Satan is currently the prince of this world and is in charge. At the same time it is a great comfort that God is ultimately in control and God wins in the end.

It’s difficult being the only one of my family and friends who has woken up.

So I guess my two questions are. have you experienced depression when you first figured the truth out and how did you come to terms with the truth?

Also, how do you relate to others who are not awake yet?

      Many thanks in advance..

Hey, sorry I’ve realised that I’ve posted this in the wrong forum. Only just realised that this is the news forum.
How do I move it to another one please?

Hi Doremus, welcome to Aminutetomidnite, thank you for signing up to our forum. It is awesome and always amazing to hear of you recently becoming a born-again Christian. It is very common to have a sense of depression when you realise that you are very much alone in your belief in Jesus. I understand something of your situation as my own circumstances have been similar to yours (I was raised a Catholic, came out of Catholicism and was the only believer in my family for many many years)

Yes, it very common to feel a bit flat and concerned for those unsaved folks closest to you, very normal and also a good thing. Also, many Christians today sadly have their heads in the sand about the times we live in. I really like when you say you are “Developing a stronger relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit has literally kept me alive and sane.” This is how it should be. So, some things you can do for those around you is; pray for them, pray for how you may seek the leading of the Holy Spirit in what and when to say things, speak the truth in love. Some folks will reject what you say, some may listen, pray for and allow the Holy Spirit to do the work in them, it is not us that changes people, it is God, but we are commissioned by Jesus to speak to others about Jesus, He said He will be with us and the Holy Spirit will be with us to teach and guide us.

I’m sure there will be other folks on this forum who can give their thoughts on this matter also.

So, once again welcome to AMTM and most of all welcome to the Body of Christ, that is the best decision you will ever make.

          Blessings to you Doremus

Welcome aboard Doremus! Depression,…a favourite attack of the enemy. This will be a visitor that will attempt to visit you again and again particularly in the spiritual climate and world affairs of today. One key is to stay in God’s word daily to “renew” and refresh your mind. This is your life line,..that and prayers of confession and just chatting with the father. No matter what comes your way hang on to God with prayer and scripture reading….this will many times require plain bare bones discipline. Like a marriage is at times requires nitty gritty discipline to carry one through a dry patch when the heavens seem like brass. Remember,… scripture assures us the nothing can snatch us from the father’s hand once we have placed our lives in Him. Only when we act with our free will and step out us His hand will we experience not only the fierce injuries of the enemy but the swift chastisement of our heavenly father. Rest in His ability to keep you in and through the storms. Friends and family will at some point take note of your inward strength that allows you to live and deal with life with a balance and spiritual equilibrium that they do not have and this can allow and entry point for you to introduce them to a personal relationship with Christ. Cheers!

              Welcome Doremus,

I’ve been a truther for a number of years now.

Then I guess you already experienced that there are persons you know who are wilfully ignorant when it comes to political truths and historical truths, who are immune to well-researched conspiracy facts, even if you serve them the revelations on a silver plate?

Well, you might have already guessed that the very same persons won´t be that receptive when it comes to spiritual truths either.

It´s unfortunate. I know the situation where you really have to swallow your (righteous) anger about the sheer self-destructive financial stupidity and borderline treasonous political idiocy of family members, especially when there were previous falling-outs about secular social or political issues, and for the sake of their souls, be kind and friendly towards them to just keep a foot in their door to eventually get an opportunity to plant some little spiritual seeds.

I think it´s getting easier with the years. The first year was almost unbearable. So if you´re interested in practical advice from my experience:

              Advice #1:

When you run into the usual suspects during the coming holidays: Try to calm down, crank out a smile. You probably have an inner urge to share the Good News about Jesus you now know with them but at the same time you may feel some panic rising because you know them enough to make an educated guess on how it will go down. Relax! Just try to plant another little seed and pray that in time this seed will be watered (perhaps by other messengers without emotional baggage) and eventually start to grow (perhaps after the big SHTF-moment when these individuals sit in the ruins of their lives and suddenly realize all their follies).

Being woken up led me down many rabbit holes and this year I became a born again Christian.

              I can relate.

              Advice#2:

The good thing is: As a natural truther, you hit the ground running as soon as you become a Christian. That´s just how it is. That´s very fortunate. It means that you will be up to speed to all the supernatural components of the big picture in no time. Because you’re already trained in thinking outside the box you will be able to process the additional supernatural intel more efficently than any regular data analyst. Especially compared to the local church that´s probably soundly asleep.

Having said these rather positive things: For the reason mentioned above you’re also in danger of being too focused on the prophetic end-times parts of the Bible. But to keep up a healthy and balanced development of your Christian life you absolutely need the whole Word of God. So I strongly suggest you start and keep reading the Bible cover to cover. And when you´re finished you just start again in Genesis. Even in the more obscure parts of the Old Testament the Holy Spirit might suddenly point out a little detail you missed or skipped before which tells you something about a specific current situation you got yourself into. Normal books don´t do that, this one does.

Developing a stronger relationship with God though Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit has literally kept me alive and sane. Just wanted to know whether others have suffered with depression on discovery of the truth about the world we live in.

Maybe I´m the odd exception but the second sentence somehow never really applied to me.

              Advice#3

Consider this point of view: I felt horrible and devastated before I realized the Devil exists because I desperately wanted to fix the world we´re living in and thought I had to do it in my/mankind´s own strength and intelligence. Then I realized the whole world lies in the Evil One and I thought: Well, if the devil is real then God´s real, and if God´s real than he will fix everything for us. Existential problem solved! Now I just have to care about spending the remaining time wisely until the New Earth is delivered.

You know what they say, men tend to be more solution-oriented than women. But of course I do experience sadness and loneliness right now in a certain way, it is – in my eyes – because the people around me just refuse to read the memo and accept the solution. Currently I find this more annoying than depressing. This being said, I know we´re about to witness the worst time in human history so I´d be a complete and utter fool to assume that no tragedy would ever bring me down to the floor, wheeping for the lives lost, groaning in agony, crying to the Lord to just take me away, or being shell-shocked and dumbfounded by the horrors of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.

It’s difficult being the only one of my family and friends who has woken up.

Yeah. Especially with the holidays coming up. It´s kinda surreal when everybody is merrily sitting at the Christmas dinner table and you´re thinking to yourself: That´s all so bizarre, that´s all so detached from what´s really going on in the world right now, I feel like I am watching someone else in a David Lynch movie…

Speeeeaaaaking of movies, here comes Advice#4 – Bonus Round:

How about some light-hearted (extrabiblical) Christmas movies for a change? I mean we have the rest of the year to research and complain about the works of Satan, about how flawed and weak we ourselves are, about the ugly crimes of the Illuminati, about the ascended monkeys and their already doomed The PlanTM.

Me personally, I admit I watch The Muppets Christmas Carol every year. I think it´s great. Not sure if the torah-kosher pharisees would approve of Miss Piggy but perhaps Gonzo has some Hebrew roots, haha.

(Other than that, since it takes place on Christmas Eve as well, you could consider Die Hard with Bruce Willis to be a Christmas movie. At least it´s a cautionary tale about workplace-violence)

Be this as it may, always keep in mind that Jesus is smiling down on you and all the Great Saints are probably sending their regards

Don’t worry about it being in the wrong forum as it’s close enough to news since you started out with mentioning JFK and truthers etc. Let’s leave it in this one. Welcome aboard Doremus and thanks for posting!

Thank you so much everybody! You’ve made me feel really welcome and that’s really appreciated!
Thanks Tony for such a great show!
Since becoming a Christian I have found myself watching T.V. less and less and now I don’t watch it at all.
I’m also very careful what films I watch, Hollywood seems to be 100% propaganda.
This year I’ve only watched The Dekalog (about the Ten Commandments) and some Kurosawa films which are highly moral and even allude to Christianity.
I watch a lot on Youtube, documentaries and truther stuff but even with that, there’s so much controlled opposition and
I don’t want to dwell on satan’s kingdom all the time.
I’m now watching bible study videos and regained a new love of reading (as well as studying the bible) I’ve returned to a much simpler and quieter life!

I just want to add something. There were three reasons I became a Christian
                  1) I was at a personal crisis and God literally saved my life when others turned on me and I am so grateful!
                  2) I realised that all the major players in the world worship satan/lucifer.
                  3) I saw my atheist friends lives sink lower and lower and their behaviour and actions became depressing and startling in equal measure.

I have a theory. I was brought up a Catholic and Catholicism doesn’t encourage individual bible study or a relationship with God through Jesus. They never preached about sin and just by being in the congregation, you are lulled into a false sense of peace, that the state and government will protect you, that your children are in good schools and most people are good. Through osmosis in the Catholic church I realised that they encourage a works doctrine, they promote a kind of humanism and also universalism.
I only found out about universalism a month ago!

All the atheists around me falsely believe that there’s a safety net, a buffer which surrounds them. A buffer of cosy faith and traditionalism that warms them and protects them and allows them the confidence to “safely” rebel against what they perceive wrongly as a safe, sleepy and cosy world.
The faith, religion and traditionalism that they perceive to be inbuilt all around them is not there! And when it is it is being eroded as we speak.
As long as the world leaders and royalty keep going to church and pretending to be Christians, they will believe this lie.
How would they feel if they knew that the buffer and protection is not there? That their government will not only not protect them but are actually doing everything in their power to enslave and destroy them!

One of my truther friends went far down enough into the rabbit hole to find the truth of Jesus there. It’s sad that he still rejected the truth of God even then. He has now stopped going down the rabbit hole, started getting into aliens and witchcraft instead and now is seriously pursuing a music career while making dark and demonic music videos.

I guess some people are already deciding to throw their lot in with the enemy! They must be crazy!
I’m still going to send him a Christmas card though and tell him I’m a Christian and put bible verses in it!
They are being bold about their faith/ lack thereof..we need to shine out our faith to compensate.

Thanks again and God bless you all!

just wanted to add that I’ve realised that people are using real names on here instead of usernames (like other forums) so I will use my real name from now on.
