Anointing Your Home/Spiritual Warfare

Has anyone had experience with ridding a home of demonic oppression?

My mother passed away leaving me her home. It’s beautiful and well-built on 2 acres, but it’s not in an area of much opportunity so I’ve been trying to sell it. The real problem is that she was a christian scientist (44+ years), and at one point described some sort of visitation that lasted several days. I won’t go into details but she seemed to think it was a good thing but I absolutely know it had to have been demonic. Especially since she was so deceived through that false religion. I’m certain she opened many doors that need to be shut or I believe I’ll never sell the place.

She came to live with me about a year before she died so the house has been unoccupied since then. Every time we would make the trip (4.5 hours) back to retrieve anything, while in the house mom would get sick. She would feel dizzy, sick, have angina and could only sit, not able to do or pack anything. We would usually only stay a few hours and turn around and I’d drive us back to Dallas. I’ve never felt at peace there.
I believe it definitely needs to be cleared of oppression, at the very least. However, I would have to do this alone as I don’t have another strong Christian who can accompany me there. Any advice? I’m rather nervous about tackling this but I feel it really needs to be done. I haven’t been back since mom passed in August and I dread going back there for this reason and because of the emotional toll. I’m afraid that this will make me spiritually vulnerable since I’m still grieving my mother’s passing. Does that even sound logical?

I came across this article by Ray Gano where he says “NOTE – It is a good idea that if you feel your home is strongly oppressed, do not do this alone. It is better to have other strong mature Christians with you, praying with you as you go through your home.”

That’s a bit of a tough one Dianna. I feel that it would definitely be best to have someone go with you to do it if possible. Christian science is a cult with powerful occult roots. I would be interested to know what Joanie Stahl thinks on how to go about doing this. Also it may be a good idea to search out any of Derek Prince’s teachings on curses and such like.

I will certainly tell you that with the information you shared I would definitely say that your mother’s home and property are under demonic control. The evidence is already substantiated in that you feel that hideous oppression and your mother would become ill when entering the property. I would not advise you to go in there alone to do it. However this is something I would advise you to do. You can do it right where you are at. I remember there have been times that we had moved from one residence to another, and being that we are always renters, the knowledge that untold numbers of people/families have lived there, and who knows what sins have been committed in there, as well as any and all occult activity, I pray ahead. I begin right where I am living, and would say this, “Lord Jesus, as you know we are about to move into such and and such property. Lord I know that many people have lived in it, and therefore, I am going to assume that all manner of sin and occult activity has been practiced within those walls. But now Lord, we will be moving in so I ask you to go now into that property and begin to eradicate all evil spirits,” Now I wont go on with how I prayed, but you need to begin to uproot them and cast them out, and you NEED to verbally make proclamation that you are now the LEGAL owner and therefore those evil spirits have NO LEGAL right to the property at all. Dianna, you know have the right to give them legal notice to those spirits right from your own living room. In fact, I would encourage you to begin the proceedings. I will also tell you that it is the Lord that will send them out. Many people including myself have not had the luxury of having someone to go with me to spiritually take authority over newly acquired properties, in fact, not everyone does. I learned this method all my life being that I was always the only one in my family that even thought to do this. The Lord ALWAYS honored it. Remember, people can give you good advice, but there needs to be flexibility in it. Begin to pray from right where you are at, begin to pray over it legally claiming it now to be yours and that every evil spirit associated with your mother, her religious practices, and take if farther back to the original owners. Then do not stop there. Pray over the land, and remember there have been ancient inhabitants that occupied that land that I will assure you were steeped in pagan shamanism. Continue to do this until you are given the green light (permission) from the Holy Spirit to go there, and to begin to walk through the property anointing it. And as you begin to pray over the property and house, as you sense it by the instruction and movement of the Holy Spirit, start demanding that all evil spirits go out from there forever. By the time you have done all of this, you will feel it in your spirit that it is now your time to enter the property and walk the land, anointing the land, praying as you go, anointing as you go the four corners of the land. Walk the land and say openly that the land now belongs to you, and your family, and say, I now dedicate this land to the Lord Jesus Christ! Every square inch of it is now the property of Jesus Christ!” Do that until you feel the release to enter into the house and anoint with blessed holy oil every entry, every window. And do not care how many doors or windows there are. Get serious and do it right. With every footstep declare that the house, every room, every closet, every ceiling, every floor, every hall way, everything is NOW dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ. Open up the windows, the front and back doors and you tell those spirits to get out! And say it like you mean it! And when you do say everything in the name of Jesus Christ. And be prepared to have to do it several times, and often as you feel it, until the Lord will signify to you that it is all clear. But you must do a maintenance from time to time because the spirits that have been there are territorial and will from time to time want to revisit it, to see what is going on with it in order to retake it. But as often as you stand your ground they will stay away. I am not trying to advocate paranoia, but intelligent vigilance. Thank you, Joanie!! So powerful! I began to pray with a boldness from right where I’m sitting over that home and property, all in the mighty name of Jesus! I can do exactly as you state and will continue from where I live.

I just found out today I’ll be busy helping my best friend renovate a house she just bought during the month of December, so I won’t be free to visit mom’s home until January. This works out for the best as it gives me time to really pray fervently and thoroughly before making the trip to personally dedicate it all to Jesus Christ.
I feel no paranoia at all, just a boldness only possible through the Holy Spirit. 🙂

So under this thread I would like to know about my authority in a grown child’s home. I just want assurance about how much authority I have while living in my daughter’s home where there is very active demonic oppression. I know the Jezebel spirit is definitely one that is in this home and I have the discernment to know I should not battle this alone. My room is anointed and I keep the Presence of God in my room. But if I go through this home with anointing oil and spiritual warfare against what is allowed here how much authority do I have??

But God…..so my question about my authority in my daughter’s home has been answered and explained very well for me. The day after I asked God gave me an answer!! Jesus is so amazing!! Everything we need to know He has the answer!! Thanks Dianna and God Bless!!
