Great interview. Carla has some wonderful insights into how satan works in derailing Christians. I must say I too could identify with becoming “gun shy” as it were regarding dominion, prosperity, claiming healing and casting out spirits. Like most folks who have been around the organized church circuit we have seen the many forms of perversion peddled by too many of the clergy. Ya,…I recall many years ago attending a so called healing service and as I recall they had about 4 or 5 collections taken why the organ player conducted a pep rally on his Hammond. Fortunately I had sense enough to get up half way through and leave. Then of course there was the church where the greeters/ushers handed out paper bags for those attending the service to cough up evil spirits once the “leadership” cast them out of the bound individual. And there must have been a thriving covering cloth business as the folks who were clobbered in the head or shoved to the ground …..as supposedly being slayed in the Spirit needed to have their nakedness covered. And we wonder why there is cynicism and a flight from the organized churches by those seeking a true and closer walk with God. Yes, proverbs 3:5 & 6 How important it is to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on one’s own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. When I first became born again I felt the Lord impress/give me a verse on which to build. Prov. 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight. Looking back over my journey I now understand why in light of my temperament and the wiles of the enemy God gave it to me. It also highlights why world economies are coming apart/down……too many false balances through in incalculable mountains of debt and theft.
