No, you can't

Lately I have been seeing a lot of places where people are just saying NO. No, you can't eat that. No, you can't celebrate this holiday THAT way. No, you can't listen to that music. It makes me think of Colossians 2:21-23, “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh." I think as soon as people start just putting their foot down, other people are going to trip over it. Past the biblical non-negotiables, it is up to each of us to be in communion with God to ask what will please Him for his/her life. Am I alone in noticing this trend?
