Would God Judge New Zealand?

Would God Judge

New Zealand?

The 900lb Gorilla in the middle of the room.

Has God been forgotten in all of this?

Matt S AMTM May 2019 (opinion piece).

The Christchurch Mosque Massacres.

When the terrorist act of a lone gunman occurred in Christchurch on Friday the 15th of March 2019, resulting in the death of 50 Muslim worshippers, I was not particularly surprised. Many people from around the world expressed their disbelief that this heinous act had occurred in New Zealand. After all, New Zealand is such a peaceful place at the far ends of the earth, how is it that this small country known for its kindness and generosity in world affairs, could possibly be the location of such a despicable act?

New Zealand has a small Muslim population which constitutes around 1.1% of the population, and there have been very few problems stemming from this Muslim presence in New Zealand, unlike the problems that have occurred in Australia. New Zealand has a reputation as a clean, green, peaceful, and largely tolerant small nation. New Zealand generally does not stand out for any specific reason on the world stage. We have an awesome rugby team, and we excel at agriculture and dairy. We grow the best pine trees in the world, the climate is temperate and the scenery is pretty good. Given these things, New Zealand is a good tourist destination.

New Zealand is regarded as a place that is culturally tolerant and obliging when it comes to new immigrants. So, why has this little South Pacific paradise ended up with such a vicious act of terrorism?

Is there a 900lb Gorilla that sits in the middle of the room? Possibly so! Please read on!

The difference, I believe, is how we view this abhorrent incident. Do we see it with worldly eyes, or with spiritual eyes, through the lens of scripture, so to speak?

Immediately that a white, eco-fascist racist, non-Christian man from Australia perpetrates an act of terrorism in New Zealand, Kiwis invariably start handwringing. We always do this in such events these days, rather than standing back and waiting for the dust to settle to gain some clarity, knee jerk reactions occur, accusations abound and ill conceived decisions are made.

By the way, don’t get me wrong, I do love my cousins from the West Island, the cowardly killer that committed this act is not what Australians are.

Knee Jerk Reactions.

So, gun laws are changed immediately with the added footnote of possible further changes occurring in the near future, the prime minister Jacinda Ardern leads the charge stand in solidarity with Muslims, donning hijab, and announcing that the nations state TV and radio services will broadcast the “Islamic call to prayer” to the nation, a week after the massacre. Prayer vigils and remembrance vigils are conducted, many women and young girls don hijabs (just like Jacinda does) in support of their Islamic brothers and sisters. Some of the remembrance vigils provide a platform for speakers to air their views on racism, white colonial rule and white privilege. Some of the vigil attendees are uncomfortable with this, but, not a peep from the government asking to keep the focus on the horror unleashed on the Muslim victims.

The manifesto of the mosque terrorist has now be made a banned publication in New Zealand. And accusations against Israel and the Jewish people have been made here in New Zealand that somehow Israel is responsible for the Christchurch mosque massacre. Justice Minister Andrew Little says he’s fast-tracking a law review which could see hate crimes made a new legal offence. Will this mean that any person who speaks out truthfully against Islam will be potentially liable for prosecution?

Some have joked about New Zealand being “the land of the wrong white crowd”, this is a play on the Maori name for New Zealand (Aotearoa) “the land of the long white cloud”. We Kiwis (as mentioned) are great at handwringing nowadays with something akin to the description of the “self loathing Jew“, we are very adept at being the “self loathing Kiwi”. We will quickly blame ourselves for these events and rise to root out the perpetrators in our ranks. We will endlessly apologise to the victims, promising to make amends for our evil ways. Actually, the idea of the “self loathing Kiwi” is somewhat embellished, but there seem to be rapidly increasing numbers of Kiwi’s doing this.

Did the survivors and victims’ families of the Christchurch mosque massacre deserve support and understanding after this event? Of course they did. The coward that carried out this attack did so against an unarmed group who were not expecting this attack, in a country that this attack was never expected to happen. That we should show this community of Muslims in Christchurch that we grieve with them and offer them our support to recover, would be the Kiwi way and also the Christian way, and I do believe this has happened in a supportive and caring manner.

Ulterior Motives.

However, the events surrounding this act of terror seem to have been hijacked by those with political and religious agendas. The coward that perpetrated this massacre was from another country (Australia) and truly not representative of the amazing folk of that fair country. However, we Kiwis seem to have forgotten this from the very top of the land to the very bottom. We have also chosen to ignore that Islam has perpetrated horrible deeds upon Christians and Jews, simply because they are Christians and Jews. Is it your average mosque going Christchurch Muslim that is to blame for the acts of terror perpetrated on Christians and Jews? No! in all likelihood, they are not. But, in reality, Islam for the most part is governed by a culture of fear and the need to control its adherents with fear.

Favouritism and Hypocrisy.

I have seen, firsthand, the effects (both physical and psychological) inflicted by Muslims on those Muslims who have converted to Christianity. Many are killed, but those that escape live in fear of retribution for the rest of their lives. We need to remind ourselves of Asia Bibi, still unable to leave Pakistan at this time, who was accused of insulting Mohammad (blasphemy). Asia and her family have an uncertain future despite her serving jail time and having been acquitted by the Pakistani legal system.

The British government has branded Christianity as a religion of violence, in refusing an Iranian man who converted to Christianity from Islam, in his request for asylum. The man said his conversion was in part because Christianity was more peaceful than Islam. The government response to him contained “cherry-picked” scriptures that indicated that Christianity was not a religion of peace, but one of violence, and his appeal for asylum was being declined (in part) on this basis.

Many thousands of Christians have died at the hands of Muslim militias in Africa with very little to no MSM (main stream media) reports on these atrocities.

Do we need reminders of the daily terror committed by Islamic militant groups worldwide against other Muslims, Jews, Christians and non-Muslims? Why is it that the media routinely ignores the religion of these groups, and call the individual perpetrators “mentally ill” as a convenient excuse to sweep the religious nature of the act under the carpet. Or portray the group (such as the Palestinians in Israel) as an oppressed group. The media could not care less for the truly oppressed Palestinians of Syria.

My heart goes out to Muslims who have considered leaving Islam, but are too fearful because they know it will mean almost certain death. This is the truth of the matter. The truth is also that over the past 2000 years many acts of violence have been committed in the name of Christianity against Muslims, Jews and Christians, but if you were to stack them up against the acts committed by Islam, the Christian stack would be insignificant in comparison. This is the truth of the matter, no matter how much it stings for Islam, and the supporters of Islam to hear this. Would what I say be considered hate speech now, even if it is truthful?

In witnessing all the Kiwi handwringing and debate about the causes of this tragic event, it has come to mind that there may be another reason for this unexpected terror to have occurred. You won’t hear this in the MSM (main stream media), it is unlikely you will hear it in the Christian media, or from the pulpit. Most Christians allow too much influence from the world to cloud their judgement. Sadly, most Christians are not reading their Bible at all, let alone on a regular basis. They are allowing the world and worldly Christians to influence and shape their thinking. As a result of this, they have lost their ability to discern the spiritual causes of such events.

Is it possible that New Zealand has made itself a candidate for God’s judgement?

It is my opinion, that New Zealand may have invited the judgement of God.

In the last few decades, I have witnessed a country that has walked away from God. New Zealand was founded on biblical principles. It has one of the few national anthems in the world that name and glorify God (watch that space), that opened its parliament with a prayer incorporating the name of Jesus. Christian missionaries worked with the Maori people (the people that were here prior to the arrival of European explorers) prior to colonisation in the 19th century. New Zealand also prided itself as a missionary nation that in turn worked to fulfil the great commission of taking the Gospel to individuals in the nations. New Zealand was also one of the nations that voted for the reestablishment of Israel in 1948.

In my childhood most New Zealanders identified with a Christian denomination, even if it was a nominal association with a once a year Church attendance at Christmas. Most New Zealanders in my childhood would have agreed that the 10 commandments from the Bible were essential rules to live by. Teaching the Bible in schools was seen as a good thing and occurred once a week for an hour or so in most state schools. You might hear of one murder a year in New Zealand, and it was always a shocking thing. Abortion was illegal. Most people did not lock their doors when leaving their homes unattended. Most people had a healthy respect for Christians and a belief in God. Most people were willing to acknowledge that there was evil in the world, and that occult practices were inherently evil. New Zealand as a nation was largely happy, prosperous, peaceful with few racial problems and lacked little, it was a seriously good place to live.

In the last four to five decades New Zealand has gone through the same moral and social declines that have been seen in other Western nations. It has increasingly embraced atheistic/humanistic/non-Christian ideologies throughout its culture, holding to a form of godliness or religion, but denying its real power. I am also of the opinion that these changes have also occurred within most New Zealand Churches and Christian ministries.

Over the past four to five decades, New Zealand has managed to retain a superficial image of an easygoing, and tolerant society with good core values, thus, making it seem to be a good, safe and peaceful place to live. But it is my opinion that we no longer respect God or have a healthy fear of his power, this includes by in large the Christians of New Zealand.

I believe that we as a nation now thumb our nose at God, and that if God does not fit within a definition of an all loving, all inclusive, all forgiving deity, then people reject Him as an evil god of hate and murder. I have even heard Christians questioning the very character of God in some of the accounts and teachings of the Bible. The teachings of the heretic Marcion (Marcionism) are becoming popular again with the idea that the God of the Old Testament is different to the God of the New Testament.

As an aside, it has puzzled me that Christchurch has again been the center of a national calamity, I don’t know why, but I was drawn to Ezekiel 8. Is there something happening in Christchurch that is particularly singling it out for disasters? I really don’t know. As per Ezekiel 8, is Christchurch the center of something hidden and deeply offensive to God? By the way, many non Christians are also asking this very question.

So, back to the 900lb Gorilla……………………

Is the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob a God of love, patience and kindness? Yes He is. But He is also a God of Justice and Judgment. How do I know? The Bible tells me this. In reading the Old Testament, God laid out very clear ground rules for the Israelites. If they adhered to His laws and commandments, He blessed them and protected them. If the Israelites walked away from God’s laws and commandments, He judged them and punished them. This is a very large part of the narrative of the Old Testament. But in reading the numerous accounts of how this narrative plays out in the Old Testament, God always warned the Israelites over long periods time through His prophets, the prophets were often killed for bringing the warnings from God. God was always quick to restore and bless a repentant remnant of Israel.

So, how has New Zealand fared with God in the last four to five decades?

The Path to Judgement?

I have observed over at least the last two to three decades (and possibly longer), respective New Zealand governments and politicians have promoted secular, socialist, anti-Christian and anti-Israel agendas. Abortion was legalised on the grounds of protecting the mental health of the mother as early as 1977. Homosexuality was legalised in 1986. Helen Clark introduced the Property Relationships Act 2001, that effectively gave defacto relationships of 3 or more years, gay or straight, the same rights as marriage. Helen Clark removed grace from the State Banquet in 2002. Prostitution was legalised in 2003. The 2004 Care of Children Act made it easier for gay couples to have children. The anti-smacking legislation was enacted in 2007. The rights of the child has been enshrined in various legislation tied in with anti smacking legislation. Same sex marriage was legalised in 2013. There have been a number of attempts to have euthanasia legalised in New Zealand and there is a current bill in parliamentary process. There have been many calls for “Bible in Schools” to be abolished with the case being taken to the high court. The name of Jesus has been removed from the New Zealand parliamentary prayer with no plans to put it back in. The Blasphemy law of New Zealand has just been repealed. Labour and the Greens have been paving the way for decriminalising cannabis for quite some time, and there is a referendum set for the 2020 elections to publicly gauge this matter. There has been a gradual attempt at eroding national sovereignty with the 2015-2016 Flag Referendums, and New Zealand was party to the UN Migration Pact with the possibility of ceding some aspects of migration decisions to the UN. The New Zealand quota of migrants discriminates in the favour of Muslim refugees.

We could not move on from here with mention of Helen Clark, a parliamentarian and prime minister of New Zealand until 2008, when Clark lost the election to John Key’s National Party. Clark resigned from politics and then ended up in the United Nation number 3 position as head of the UN Development Agency. Clark was a polarising figure in New Zealand politics with people either staunchly for her or against her. She was unabashedly liberal and was instrumental in paving the way for liberal and socialist ideas being enacted in New Zealand government policy. An article from Investigate Magazine gives a good deal of detail about the life of Helen Clark and the ideologies that influenced her to the detriment of New Zealand.

Helen continues her drive to distance New Zealand from Christianity, in 2016 she launched a Religious Diversity Centre in parliament. New Zealand also sponsors Regional Interfaith Dialogue.

Adam Weishaupt, Karl Marx and Alice A Bailey would be proud of New Zealand’s achievements at undermining our Judeo/Christian heritage. Weishaupt intended a new World Order brought in surreptitiously. Marx intended the same things, a new order without religion or government, family and private property. Alice Bailey had the clearest plan to undermine God with the quiet infiltration of every area of society. The “Mother of the New Age” prescribed a 10 Point Plan that included;

If you look at Alice A Baileys 10 point plan, how has New Zealand government fared in implementing these things?

New Zealand’s Stand on Israel.

In another matter, New Zealand’s stance on Israel has become increasingly hostile over the past few years. Albeit, Israel has not always acted in an overt way with New Zealand, hence the 2004 Israel- New Zealand Passport Scandal. It has never been entirely clear what actually happened in this incident, however it would seem that two Israelis (possibly Mossad, possibly criminals) attempted to get New Zealand passports illegally and were caught. The Israeli government apologised for this incident in 2005. New Zealand passports are highly prized passports to have, as they have few restrictions. Aside from this, New Zealand should tread carefully in protesting too loudly against Israel with its involvement in the Five Eyes Network of intelligence gathering nations.

In 2015 another diplomatic scandal developed between Israel and New Zealand, when New Zealand sent an ambassador to Israel with credentials for both Israel and the Palestinians. This was summarily dismissed by Israel as the Palestinians do not have a recognisable country or State. In 2016 New Zealand co-sponsored UN Resolution 2334 in the Security Council. This Resolution put forward that Israel stop building settlements in Judea and Samaria, (called the Palestinian territories by the UN) It referred to Israel’s settlement activity as a flagrant violation of international law. Resolution 2334 was passed and with a vote of 14 to 0 by the UN Security Council. In effect this supported the idea that the Palestinians were a people of a Nation State. The term Palestinian, (to reflect a people called by that name) has only been around since 1964, created by the Russian KGB for Yasser Arafat (an Egyptian national). The name Palestine was given to Israel by the Roman Hadrian after the AD135 Bar Kochba Jewish revolt was crushed. It was intended as a derogatory term to reflect the area on the South Western coast of Israel, (Gaza) inhabited by the Philistines, called Palestine.

The real Palestinians were in fact Philistines and not Arabic in ethnicity. It is important to note that the Philistines no longer exist as a race of people. To call any area of the land of Israel with the exception of perhaps Gaza by the name of Palestine, is insulting to the Jewish nation as well as incorrect. In 1967 Israel was attacked by Egypt, Syria and Jordan and is referred to as the Six Day War, Israel captured areas of land in the North, East and Southern Israel, namely the Golan Heights, the area of Judea & Samaria (erroneously referred to as the West Bank) including Jerusalem, the historic capital of Israel. The area of Gaza and the Sinai peninsula was also captured from Egypt as far as the Suez canal. The capture of both the Golan, Judea & Samaria was a strategic coup for Israel, as these areas of land provided a much needed security buffer for Israel. Prior to 1967, Syria had harassed Israeli settlers with mortar fire from the Golan Heights. The area of Judea & Samaria improved Israel’s central defensive security, as in some parts the width of Israel from pre 1967 Jordanian held Samaria, was only nine miles from Samaria to the Mediterranean sea. This pre 1967 border left Israel in a very dangerous strategic position.

No other country has been asked by the UN to give up land that it legitimately took in war, except for Israel. No other country in the world is harassed at the UN the way Israel is. With the promotion of UN Security Council Resolution 2334, New Zealand has given credibility to the lie of the Palestinian Nation State, and the Palestinian people. There is no legitimate accounting for the rabid and illogical hatred expressed by anti-Semites and the Arab/Muslim nations against Israel, unless you have a Biblical understanding of the hatred the fallen angel Lucifer has for God, the Jewish people, the land of Israel, Jerusalem and for Christianity. When you understand that Lucifer/Satan will stop at nothing to destroy these things, you will understand his irrational attempts to manipulate the world against the Jewish people, the land of Israel and Christians. These things stand firmly in his way for achieving his aims in his rebellion against God.

In the 1947 UN Partition Resolution to vote for the creation of the State of Israel, New Zealand voted for Israel despite pressure to abstain by the United Kingdom. Some 70 years later New Zealand is now actively standing against Israel. The New Zealand government has in the last few years become increasingly hostile toward Israel, and its silence against Palestinian aggression, aggression from the terrorist group Hamas, and the aggression and terror attacks from Palestinians on Jews in Israel, is deafening.

Israel.

Is Israel perfect? No it’s not. There are many things about Israel that are imperfect, it is a very secular nation with all the fallen nature of the Western world, it has very free abortion laws, and a very large population of people who identify with the LGBT…. homosexual movement (around 500,000). It has an ultra-orthodox religious right that are determined to bring in Noahide laws that tie with a Third Temple, and a 70 nation group based from Jerusalem that will replace the United Nations. This ultra-orthodox Religious group rival Islam in their strict and barbaric laws. However, in knowing this, God has said that he will return Israel to their land in an unclean state and will cleanse them. Ezekiel 36:22-32 speaks to this and Jeremiah 30 speaks to the restoration of Israel and the judgement of those nations that oppose Israel.

Gods Judgement Upon the Nations, Upon New Zealand.

It is my opinion that New Zealand has set itself up for judgement from God and I believe that we have now gone beyond the point of no return. That we may have once been a Christian nation founded on the basis of Judeo/Christian beliefs and Biblical standards is clear. That we have walked away from this heritage is also very clear. New Zealand’s national anthem which is one of the few in the world to speak of God as our guide and protector, is now increasingly being singled out for change. People want God out of the anthem, and to have something more secular and inclusive. From a secular, non-spiritual, non-Christian perspective this makes sense in the light of New Zealand’s anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, anti-Bible standards. New Zealanders (including our government) have embraced other religions and religious practices.

The Bible says “there is a way that seems right to man, but ends in death”, Proverbs 14:12. Because people do not have a reverence or a fear of God, or an understanding of what it means to defy God, or understand what the Bible says about rebelling against God or that which is dear to Him, they are in ignorance of God’s judgement and the reasons for His judgement. New Zealand has chosen to reject God and this brings consequences. New Zealand at one time embraced God, a Judeo/Christian heritage and the Bible, this brought both blessings and protection to our fair country. God and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ and his people, the nation of Israel have all been soundly rejected, the blessing and protection we had as a nation are now gone and judgement will come in its place. I know this because New Zealand is not the only nation to receiving this judgement.

Consider the nations that have professed to be Christian in their heritage, or the Western Christian nations that have come against Israel. Look at the nations that profess Christian roots, they are in a shambles, America is a mess, Great Britain is a mess, South Africa is a mess, Canada is a mess and so too is New Zealand a mess. Most European countries are wracked with economic, social and immigration problems, of note are Britain, Germany and France whose treatment of the Jews (especially Nazi Germany) was detestable. To deny this is both blind and inexcusable, and yet that is what the majority of people are doing.

2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us that Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 tells us that God will bring a deluding influence (they will believe what is false) on people that rejected His truth. It seems that this is happening already. The Christchurch massacre should have seen New Zealand (as a nation) draw closer to God in such a horrific event, instead Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern dons a hijab and has State radio and TV broadcast the Islamic call to prayer, and Douglas Pratt, Honorary Professor theological and religious studies at the University of Auckland said; “The Christchurch terror attacks were a form of “Christian terrorism” and white supremacy“. Mr Pratt is regarded as aninternational expert on religious terrorism. With Jacinda Ardern endorsing Islam and a so called expert on theology, religious studies and terrorism equating the Christchurch mosque massacres with Christian terrorism, the truth in previously mentioned scriptures is painfully evident. In Isaiah 5:20 God says, woe to those that call evil good, and good evil.

It seems that the secret power of lawlessness is hard at work (2 Thessalonians 2:7-9) in anticipation of the Antichrist. This is evident through the government policies being promoted and passed as legislation. As I continue to write this article, the New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern publicly criticises a prominent Australian rugby player for speaking the God’s truth. (thanks for this contribution Chris) Israel Folau posted a banner on Instagram warning “drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars and fornicators” among others that hell awaits them unless they repent. “Those that are living in Sin will end up in Hell unless you repent. Jesus Christ loves you and is giving you time to turn away from your sin and come to him,”his post says. Does this sound harsh? It probably does to those that call good, evil, and evil, good. But this is what the Bible says, these are God’s rules for us. Israel Folau is actually doing what he is called to do from scripture, but nations that were Biblically based have become so far removed from scriptural ideals that Israel Folau’s message has become “hate speech”. 1 Corinthians 2:14 says that the natural man sees the things of God as foolishness. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says that the word of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing, but for saved Christians it shows the power of God [paraphrased].

By the way, as I write this article the Australian State of Tasmania has also just passed legislation making the inclusion of gender optional on birth certificates. Australia is heading the same way New Zealand is now. New Zealand has gender optional legislation in place for almost all public identity documents except the birth certificate.

Are things going to get worse for Christians and Jews? Yes they are. Matthew 24:4-14 speaks of the time of the end of the age before His 2nd coming, verse 9 Jesus says;

Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

It is my belief that this persecution is now beginning for Christians in the Western world, it has been happening for some time in other parts of the world, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the communist regimes etc, but now the tide is turning against Christians in the West. There are many scriptures that speak about persecution. But, what of God’s judgement! What does God’s word say of this. 1 Peter 4:17 says that judgement will begin in the house of God, but, what of the judgement on the nations? that turn away from, and defy God. What does God say he will do with these nations?

Is there any nation that calls God its Lord? I would hesitate to say that any nation would. Israel is probably the closest even in their unwashed state. This is telling, as there are many nations that would call Allah their god, and various others that look to Buddha or the 300 million gods of Hinduism. The other nations would look to the god that is “no god”, Atheism.

Satan Blinds The Minds Of Unbelievers.

The vast majority of the world and its nations have rejected the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and his son, the Lord Jesus Christ. The vast majority of the world would prefer to believe a lie, they do not want to believe that God is real and that Jesus, His son, returned some 2000 years ago to provide a way of return back to God through His grace, repentance, forgiveness and salvation, offered only through Jesus, and no other. Satan has done his utmost to blind the minds of unbelievers from the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), this also includes what God says in his Word, about judging the nations for their rebellion against Him, His son and his chosen people, Israel. People in the Western Christian nations and nations that were open to the Gospel have turned their back on the Bible. They have lost any respect or healthy fear of God, Hosea 4:6 speaks about Israel being destroyed for its loss of knowledge, this same thing also can be applied to nations that have known God, but turned their backs on Him and rebelled against Him and against the nation of Israel.

What does God say about Judgement?

There are many scriptural references to God announcing his judgement upon the nations and many of these have come to pass, many are yet future. Israel as a nation was judged by God a number of times for rebelling against Him, despite long warnings from God’s prophets to repent. The last judgement being very evident after Israel rejected Jesus as the messiah, with the destruction of the 2nd Temple, the siege of Jerusalem and the dispersal of the Jewish nation apart from a small remnant of Jews that continued to live in Israel. Babylon and the Babylonian empire came under Gods prophesied judgement, the Assyrian army was routed when they came against King Hezekiah, and angel of the Lord killed 185,000 soldiers in one night. Pharaoh and Egypt suffered 10 awful judgements in the form of plagues, when they refused to let the Hebrews leave to return to Israel/the Promised Land. Exodus 7 -11 describe these in detail.

Jeremiah 18:7-10 is very telling as to how God sees the nations attitudes towards Him, and how he responds accordingly.

At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it;if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it.Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it;10 if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it.”

As is also Psalm 2:1-6

Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?
The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the Lordand against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”

He who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them.
Then He will speak to them in His anger
And terrify them in His fury, saying,
“But as for Me, I have installed My King
Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

God says it how it is!!

In the book of Jonah, Nineveh, an Assyrian city, was to come under God’s judgement. The whole city repented and was spared by God, however, some 110 to 150 years later, it was destroyed as detailed in the book of Nahum. Evidence of Nineveh as a city was not uncovered until the 1800’s AD by archaeologists, as predicted in Nahum 3:11.

I would suggest also that we are seeing Gods judgement playing out now upon the nations. Great Britain, which was once a mighty empire, that held sway both politically and militarily is now a nation reduced fighting for its survival on the world stage. It’s state religion may well be Islam before long, as it clings to the crumbs of power it once had. Its crime? It turned its back on Israel and actively thwarted the return of Israel as a nation, both politically and physically. It can be claimed that Britain has supported Israel and been a very prominent Christian nation, however, for all her good works she has thwarted Israel. Britain’s Judgement

Saddam Hussein, ruler of Iraq, saw himself as a 2nd Nebuchadnezzar and was rebuilding the city of Babylon. During the first Gulf war of 1991,Saddam made the mistake of attacking Israelwith scud missiles. Israel did not retaliate even though they were quite within their rights to do so. Some 12 years later Saddam was captured in 2003 after the 2nd Gulf war and later executed.

Iran, a very public enemy of Israel since the deposing of the Shah of Iran in 1979, has repeatedly threatened Israel and appears to be involved on a number of fronts around Israel’s borders using proxies such as Hezbollah,Hamas and Syrian proxies to wage terror on Israel, or is building armies and rocket arsenals to attack Israel at some future point. Iran was responsible for sending a drone into Israeli territory from Syria, and has known involvement in the Syrian civil war building bases in Syria that Israel has repeatedly attacked and destroyed. Iran is currently suffering in a way that is starting to affect its civilian population. It is my opinion that the hand of God lies behind this. Iran has publicly threatened Israel’s destruction on numerous occasions. I do not believe God has sat idly by allowing this to go unanswered. God is patient, but Israel is the apple of His eye and He will not tolerate abuse of Israel even in its unwashed state. Iran is undergoing sanctions by the United States Trump administration that are squeezing Iran economically, these sanctions are beginning to bite in the general populace of Iran. How long before the Iranian regime will have to go to war or face a revolt by its people? Iran has suffered a severe drought and accused Israel of stealing its clouds. It has also had severe flooding just recently from March to April of 2019. Iran’s currency (the rial) has plummeted in value and inflation has skyrocketed. Iran is running out of funding for its nuclear and terror campaigns, and will either have to capitulate to the pressure to reform itself or it will lash out against Israel, the USA or any other of its many enemies.

There are other nations and organisations that have come against Israel and against Christians that have suffered in some way, I will call it what it is, God’s judgement. This may come as a surprise, but Japan as a Western nation has almost exclusively stood against Israel on the world stage in almost every way. Japan has repeatedly supported the Arab and BDS boycotts of Israel. Its economy is a quiet train wreck and it has suffered some serious natural disasters with major earthquakes and Tsunamis that caused huge loss of life, not to mention the Fukushima nuclear reactor disaster where it seems that it may have had a long term serious impact on the Pacific oceans ecology with leakage of radioactive contaminants.

There is a pattern here of nations that stand against Israel, sometimes the pattern is a quick judgement, at other times the pattern is a judgement that comes latter, or the judgements are spread out. Whatever the case, it is apparent to those who understand the Biblical narrative that if people or nations mess with God, Israel and His people (Christians and Jews), there will be consequences for this.

WARNING!!

A word to the wise; God says in Genesis 12:3 that He will curse those that curse/revile Israel, and bless those that bless Israel. He says the same thing in Numbers 24:9 and warns about touching Israel in Genesis 49:9. God is slow to anger, but readily forgives transgressionNumbers 14:18. However, God says through the apostle Paul, that it would be a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God Hebrews 10:31. Joel 3:2 says God will judge the nations that meddle with the land of Israel and a warning in Zechariah 12:2-3, especially Jerusalem will bring a serious judgement. Satan does not want people to have a good knowledge of the Bible, if they did, they would know Satan’s plans.

A Warning to New Zealand

New Zealand has meddled in the affairs of God, of Israel and His people (Christians and Jews) the most recent and serious meddling being UN Resolution 2334 and a refusal to follow the US in acknowledging Jerusalem as the legitimate capital of Israel, by voting against the US proposal to do so. New Zealand has severely limited the most persecuted group of people (Christian refugees) in favour of Muslim refugees. Jacinda Ardern has allowed a call to a demonic entity over the airwaves of New Zealand and donned a hijab as a sign of solidarity with Muslims after the Christchurch massacre. This is an offence to God, and to the Christians and Jews of New Zealand. Psalm 110:5-6 speaks of God’s judgement on the nations and also those that who have harmed Israel in Jeremiah 46:28. I believe it is now too late to change things for New Zealand, and there will be more consequences of the rejection of God, Israel and his people. New Zealand has rejected God’s laws and code of conduct. This should be very evident in the list of legislations that the New Zealand governments has enacted that defy God’s laws (provided in this article). Many New Zealanders stand in defiance of God with their lifestyles, this also includes many who call themselves Christians. We have already had a number of serious earthquakes, one with a significant loss of life, and now the Mosque massacre, both in Christchurch. Put plainly, New Zealand is being judged and is ripe for more of God’s judgement.

A Blessing and Encouragement.

Psalm 33:12says the nation that calls God their Lord is blessed. The whole of Psalm 33 is an amazing picture of how truly awesome God is and how he blesses the nations that call him Lord. Psalm 33:8 says to fear God and stand in awe of him, that is, having a reverential and healthy respect for God’s power. Psalm 33:18-22 also speaks of God watching over and protecting those who have a fear (reverential and healthy respect) of God. It is my belief that we are at the end of the latter days and that Jesus will be returning soon, how soon I do not know as there are a few things yet to happen, such as the rise of the Antichrist, but I would say it is merely decades, and I may be generous in saying that. The stage is being set for the Antichrist at an alarming pace, each day brings new events that prophetically herald the closing of this age.

For Christians this is a blessing, because it means that soon we get to go home to our heavenly Father. There is going to be greater tribulation yet for Christians, but, God will snatch us away before he pours out his wrath on the world. How do I know this? The Bible says we are not destined for God’s wrath (orge in the Greek) 1 Thessalonians 5:9-15, we will however, have tribulation (thlipsis in the Greek), which are trials and troubles that will refine us and purify us in our Christian walk. Jesus encourages us with these words in Luke 21:36; that like Matthew 24 speaks of the time leading up to his return, he says;

“36 But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

We are to be ALERT at all times, praying that we have strength to escape the all the troubles that come before He will snatch us away before His return. The alternate is unthinkable, and is spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2. This chapter suggests that there will be many who will fall from their faith in God in the great apostasy. When the Antichrist is revealed, they will be taken in by his wicked deceptions, and sadly God will give many people over to a delusion, because they rejected and refused to receive the true Gospel of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Just as with Noah and his family, God has provided us with a means to escape. Though our nations have rejected God, we do not need to partake of their rejection of God. Our means of escape is our continued perseverance to remain faithful to God and His son Jesus, to not give in to the world and all the false teachings that abound in Christendom today. To continue to read God’s word to us, and trust that He will deliver us from His wrath at the appointed time, that we may stand before the Son of Man, and be welcomed by Him having been a faithful servant right to the end.
