What Does It Say About A Last Days Epidemic Of This Toxic Human Plague?

It was very hard to find a picture of humans being cruel to humans in Google. That is truly a good thing. I’m sure that if I wanted to search the murky depths of the internet I could find many more, but I really do not want to go there, as I have seen enough of it in normal human life, and am not interested in seeing any more. This picture seemed to do nicely though and displays a depiction of human cruelty with priests and rulers observing, and a demonic entity hovering in the background.
The question you might ask me is “Matt you seem to be a little obsessed with narcissism?”. That would be a fair question and I can say that I have been a lot more obsessed with it in the past with much intense reading (hence the “thousands of hours of reading” comment in the last article).
I think it would be fairer to say that I am very concerned about narcissism, and that is because I see that this disorder of personality (and whatever else it may be) is so downright destructive, chaos causing, nasty, disruptive, dangerous, manipulative and evil. It is also on the increase as never before known in our current understanding of history.
Narcissism has become acceptable in every aspect of life and I know I go on about this, but the rise of this disorder has greatly concerned me. As commented on in previous articles it pervades our media in every way from the narcissists who use TV, film, and video to spread their selfish gospel, to the personalities that rule our politics and global economics. If you connect the dots of the luciferian elites (Rothschild’s etc) and their luciferian master (yep that’s lucifer) and look at how they own and run world banking, major businesses and companies, the MSM (main stream media), fund education, fund certain special interest protest groups and look at how they project themselves (George Soros) please read even just the title of the George Soros hyperlink, it will tell you all you need to know. As per my last article I believe that these people have taken on the personality traits of lucifer and for some reason this personality disorder is spreading at an alarming rate in the general population. It is being actively encouraged by educators, self help programs and New Age gurus.
I am speculating a lot here and these are my opinions as I have no firm evidence and in a weird kind of way that may be evidence in and of itself, if you consider “the secret power of lawlessness” in 2nd Thessalonians 2. Narcissism almost seems to be a prerequisite to being a minion or devotee of lucifer and by default the type of personality that lucifer would encourage in his fallen world empire. As mentioned I can think of nothing worse if we were all narcissists, it would indeed be hell. The only love these individuals seem to have is self love and that is not even a real love, it is a vanity. Others are only there to serve them and their needs. Sure, things might get done in a world of narcissists, but it is based on fear of being punished if you do the wrong thing, and you may just get punished anyway if the “boss” is having a bad day.
Is there any hope for narcissists? Are they damned to hell? I would like to believe there is some hope for them but it would be dependent on them having a life changing encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. I would encourage you to pray for those you know are narcissists, that God would change them if that is possible, that God would limit or prevent the damage they do, and more importantly for their victims. I would encourage you if it is possible, to offer their victims help in a practical way, to pray for them that God will protect them, and shield them from harm.
Narcissistic people are truly pitiable individuals, when you have experienced a touch of love from our Father God and his Son it goes beyond human understanding to know that God is truly there and that he loves you way more than you can fully understand. I look at the lives of narcissistic individuals and at times have a sense of grief that they are so trapped in such a state of false belief. I know we all have our own skewed perception of things that affect the way we interact with others, but the false belief these individuals hold is like a “strong delusion” [emphasis added]. I am always getting a reality check from the Holy Spirit about my attitudes and actions, and I ignore this to my own detriment, but narcissists seem to be fixed, rigid and inflexible. It’s not say that we can’t be angry with the behaviour of narcissists or tolerate their sin, we can be angry with them and we do not have to tolerate their sin, but that will be for another article to discuss this in more detail I think.
It is interesting to consider the transhumanist movement and their plight to change humanity into something better and accelerate what they believe is the evolving human, “directed evolution“. However this is the old lie of Genesis 3, “you shall be as gods”. They believe that they can make us faster, better, more beautiful, with new and improved senses of sight, hearing and additional perceptions. It is my opinion that lucifer wants his own version of creation and he is driving this movement to tear down God’s creation and make his own version. The truth of it is that he is only using the building blocks that the Creator God made in the first place and corrupting them savagely in the process. We live in a fallen world that will one day pass away, and the bible promises us that we will have new incorruptible bodies in 1st Corinthians 15:50-52. These transhumanists need to know that the brave new world they think they are striving to create will be destroyed with fire 2nd Peter 3:10-13 , and that God is going to give us a much better deal with our new bodies, on anything they think they could ever make with their cleverness.
Okay Matt so you’ve had your rant and the title of this article asks what the bible says about narcissism, and what it might suggest regarding narcissism becoming epidemic. So let’s have it.
There are many many bible verses that address narcissistic behaviour. I come across them constantly in my reading but there is one portion of scripture that speaks loud and clear. This portion of scripture describes narcissism and narcissistic behaviour beautifully. It not only describes this behaviour, but gives us advice as to how we should relate to these individuals and it tells us the timing of the epidemic of this disorder.
2nd Timothy 3:1-9 says this;
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.
This portion of scripture in Timothy is fascinating as it encapsulates narcissism perfectly and it describes that this is how men will be in the “last days”. It’s not just “some” men or a “few” men, it speaks of the general nature of men. I believe this portion of scripture is for now, and is being fulfilled at this time. I have read a few commentaries on this portion of scripture and very few commentaries address the last section of verse 5 which says “Avoid such men as these”. We are trained as Christians to be tolerant, however at times I think that we are expected to be tolerant of any bad behaviour or sin. Having lived around narcissists most of my life and having witnessed their complete unwillingness to change for the good, I really do understand why we need to avoid these people. They are not good for most of us and even worse for some of us.
I have mentioned before that for some people who have suffered badly in life, this can cause them to become angry and bitter and react in hostility to others. I know, I have very much been there and still need to pull myself back at times. It is not these particular people we should avoid, and it is learning to recognize the difference between these types of people . Bad and sinful behaviors for the individual who is hurting are not to be condoned, however it is necessary to separate the person from their sin, and help them to recognize that they can change, and show them that you love them and not their sin. It is also really important to give help to these folk when they seek it and recognize when they are making change. I think things could have been very different for me had I not had some good, kind and caring people around in my life.
In my opinion, the reason we need to avoid narcissistic people is that very little good comes from interacting with them. After years of praying for them, being nice to them, modeling good behaviour to them nothing changed except me, and that change was often far from good. In keeping myself as far from these folk as is realistically practicable, life is much more tolerable and peaceful. Being raised by a narcissistic parent has also put me in a position where I am vulnerable to being triggered, or used by other narcissists even today, so I need to be extra careful in my dealings with them. If you are in a situation where you have to be around a narcissistic person you will have to decide how you are going to manage that. You may not have the luxury of leaving the situation (in saying that if there is any abuse, violence or behaviour that will put you or others at risk of harm, I would recommend finding some way of getting out quickly) You may find that you need to get creative in managing your time with the narcissist, and find reasons to avoid them as much as possible.
Something else that comes to mind is Matthew 13:24-30. The Parable of the “Wheat and the Tares”.
There seems to be some confusion around who the tares actually represent in this Parable, some say it’s people in the Church, some say it’s representative of the world at large. Whatever the tares represent, they are a counterfeit that has been put in place by the enemy lucifer/satan/the devil.
Jesus identifies himself as the sower of good seed in this situation, but the enemy comes in and sows counterfeit bad seed. I have never read to this point in time a really good description of who the tares really represent. The fact that Jesus instructs that the tares be left with the wheat until time of harvest is really interesting. The best account of this Parable that I have found is in the references under research. It points out that the use of the word “World” in Matthew 13:39 is a translation that means age, a reference to when there will be a gathering, the end of this “age”.
I cannot but help think that we have a counterfeit group of people, whether it be in the world or the Church or both. These counterfeits are sown in by the satan/lucifer/the devil. We know from Genesis 3:15 when God is speaking to lucifer, that lucifer has his seed also. We know that lucifer sows his seed in with the good seed and Jesus allows them to remain because if they are removed they may uproot some of the good seed. Although I do not understand this thoroughly it may be that having the tares will benefit God’s children in some way.
I do not know who specifically who the tares are, but they may be a mix of people who have chosen to reject God and his Son Jesus. They may be the so called elite luciferians, they may also be any other group that directly or indirectly associates itself with lucifer. They may also be those that have actively chosen to reject God in their lifestyles as in narcissistic individuals. Although I do not have any specific biblical proof of this, it is a fairly likely thing. Psalms and the book of Proverbs are full of accounts of narcissists and narcissistic behaviour and the warnings against such behaviour and associating with such individuals. These individuals are also described often as the enemy of God.
There are some verses in Ezekiel that also describe God as having no pleasure in the death of the wicked, he would much rather that they repent. Ezekiel 18:23, Ezekiel 18:32 and Ezekiel 33:11. Next time I am going to get to the “really good stuff” in all of this and discuss the antidote to narcissism. God bless you in your week and choose to walk with Him day by day.
