Maybe you were scratching your heads a little, at the hidden clue in the picture from the last article. Unfortunately I did not get my picture quite right in my last article “on waking angels”, this is how it should have looked, and it had a reflection in it that would have given the clue to “As Above, So Below”. Perhaps you can see that now, my apologies to those that were confused by this.

The article this week focuses on an area that I see as being particularly devious, subtle and treacherous for those not watching carefully. I freely admit that this one nearly got me. Had I not been reading widely, I could have easily been caught in this lie, and subtle deception. There are some that may struggle with my perceptions of “The Message” translation of the Bible, but in this I am unrepentant!!
So Matt, what are you going on about?
This article will discuss the saying “As Above, So Below” and in simple terms, what it means. This article will ask the question of how this saying has found its way into a translation of the Bible.
“As Above, So Below”
Some years ago I stumbled across this term in my reading on matters related to the occult, ancient religions, gods and New Age philosophies. In reading various Christian commentaries on these matters, the saying, “As Above, So Below” came up frequently. I paid little attention to the term itself and its meaning, as I do not happily read occult New Age materials, and neither would I encourage anyone to actively seek and read this stuff, unless you have very specific need to do so. I would always ask the Holy Spirit for discernment and protection if doing so. In my research for this article, I have gone to Christian commentaries as much as possible for my information on this subject.
One night when attending a Church home group, we were doing a study of the Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13. Somebody read “The Message” translation version of this passage.
Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right;
Do what’s best—
“as above, so below” [colour & emphasis added]
I heard this, and was shocked that there was a translation of the Bible with this occult philosophy embedded in it. Needless to say I had to investigate this some more.
So what did I find?
I am only going to speak broadly to this topic, there is a huge amount of information and many differing opinions as to the meaning of “as above, so below”, but there is agreement on some points, so I will relay that information.
The term “as above, so below” comes from the Emerald Tablets. It is sometimes part of a broader saying “as above, so below, as within, so without” made brief from ideas taken from the Emerald tablets. The Emerald tablets are a collection of ancient stories, ideas and philosophies. The Emerald Tablets have been translated so many times, and the term “As Above, So Below” has been abbreviated down from a longer statement, that means the same thing (in this instance), by a mysterious French alchemist and philosopher called Fulcanelli. This individual allegedly lived in France in the early part of Last century, and is credited with at least one version/translation of the Emerald Tablets, that reads “as above, so below”.

There are many other versions/translations of “The Emerald Tablets”, and the one below highlights another aspect of these writings. The text in bold RED shows the idea of universalism.
“Know They that in time all will be perfected,
having none above and none below, but all One
in a perfected Infinity, a harmony of all in the Oneness of All.
Deep neath the Earth surface in the Halls of Amenti
sit the Seven, the Lords of the Cycles,
aye, and another, the Lord from below.
Yet know thee that in Infinity there is
neither above nor below.
But ever there is and ever shall be
Oneness of All when all is complete”
The Emerald tablets were purportedly written by Hermes Thoth Trismegistus. This character is a mish-mash of ancient gods and philosophers. Hermes Thoth Trismegistus is credited with many hermetical and alchemical texts that form the basis for many New Age religions and philosophies. Several commentaries on the Emerald tablets (I have included one in the research) would indicate that the Emerald Tablets read like an extended version of Genesis 6:4 in the Bible, and parts of the Book of Enoch. The Emerald tablets speak of enlightened beings bringing knowledge and wisdom to earth and that the heavens reflect what is on the earth, all is one; one is all, which universalism. In my opinion the original author/s of these texts are luciferian/fallen angelic entities. (this concept has been greatly condensed for brevities sake)
Interestingly the Tarot card, “The Magician”, has the image of a man pointing up with one hand and pointing down with the other, this looks like the illustrated concept of “As Above, So Below”. This symbolism is repeated in the satanic/occultic Baphomet image (see this in the Baphomet image in the set of 3 pictures at the start of the article). One hand pointing up, and one down, “As Above, So Below”. This is referred to as “The Law of Correspondence” which embodies the idea of Universalism. This is the idea that all religions have the same basic truth, that is that all religions lead to salvation. It says that we are god and god is us, that god is the impersonal force that binds the universe together. In other words, “and ye shall be as gods“, the serpent’s words to Eve in the Garden of Eden. To put it simply, and in my opinion “As Above, So Below” is at its root, a “luciferian lie”.
I hope that this is joining a few dots for you. The seemingly innocent “As Above, So Below” switch into the message bible in Matthew 6:9-13 (The Lord’s Prayer) is in my opinion, subtle and very dangerous, but folk are getting all upset about the “Mandela Effect”. (Joanie and Tony have written three great articles on this as follows; 1, 2, and 3). Joanie asks the question, is the Mandela effect a distraction? I believe it is. It stops us looking at the real deceptions right in front of us, some of which could be the subtle misuse of terms like “As Above, So Below”.
The King James Bible says this in Matthew 6:10 “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in Earth, as it is in heaven”. “The Message” translation of the Bible quietly slips the phrase “As Above, So Below” in to substitute out “Thy will be done in Earth, as it is in heaven”. Very subtly, this occult Universalist phrase is inserted into the thinking of those reading “The Message” bible translation. It is my belief and opinion that the author of “The Message” bible translation knew exactly what he was doing. You would only know this term if you had studied occult literature. If you bothered to discover the true meaning of “As Above, So Below” you would NEVER include it in a Bible translation.
In my opinion the world is readily taking on “pseudo tolerance”. What I mean by this is that the peoples of the world readily rally to a cause these days. Those causes are “saving the planet” or allowing an endless stream of economic migrants to invade their countries, or to not speak a word against Islam. To rail against Israel and the Jews. To endorse the teaching of all religions except Christianity, to allow the unspoken genocide and persecution of Christians in the Middle East, North Korea and Africa (to name a few). The world would readily accept a collection of religions that shared the same ideas in the name of “pseudo tolerance”. The song “Imagine” by John Lennon comes to mind. The idea that we can all be “ONE” people with “ONE” agenda, goal, purpose, an all embracing global community. Does this sound familiar?
Revelation 13 and 17 in the Bible tells us the Antichrist will have a religious, political and economic system, that will cause all to worship the beast and its image, or it will be death to defy any part of what is decreed by the Antichrist, and his minions. This system and its leaders will persecute and kill the saints. Anyone having faith in Jesus and not in satan will be marked for death.
Satan will need a system that unifies as many people against God as he can, he will need a philosophy or ideology that “seems right” to people. Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death”.
“As Above, So Below” sounds a bit like “in earth as it is in heaven” does it not?? Heaven above, the earth below. How many people read this and just assume this is what it means? Meanwhile a very occult universal principle is being quietly inserted into our thinking. Will this type of thinking be part of what causes a “great falling away from the faith” described in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (the great apostasy?)
I do not believe for a minute that this “Message” translation insert of ‘As Above, So Below” was an accident; I believe that satan will use every means possible to distract us from the truth, and hide the deception that will attempt ensnare us. There is a Creator God who made us in his image, and He gave us a means to return to Him after our fall into sin in the Garden of Eden. There is but one path to God and that is through his Son Jesus John 14:6.
We read in Ephesians 6:12 that “our struggle is against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places” [paraphrased]. This is my speculation! I suspect that satan has more intent in “As Above, So Below” than anyone realises. My speculation is that his intention is to implant his own version of a kingdom/spiritual realm of existence onto the Earth. The books of Revelation and Daniel tell us that this is his plan.
I’m hoping that you have gained a better understanding of the occult term “As Above, So Below” in this article. I’m hoping that you will challenge it if you hear it coming from Christians. It is a purely deceptive term, that I believe is designed to lure Christians into accepting, the very brief evil satanic empire that is coming upon the earth. There is much more that could have been added to this article, but I needed to keep it readable, you may want to do some of your own research to supplement what I have written here.
